LSASC recognises the importance and value of your privacy. The Club have prepared this Privacy Statement to explain what personal data is collected, how it is used, and for what purposes.
The Club are committed to collecting and using such data fairly and in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.
What is collected
The Club may collect the following information:
• full name and personal details of swimmers, coaches, teachers and volunteers, including contact information of both swimmers and parents where applicable (e.g home address, email address, date of birth, home and mobile telephone number).
• Where relevant, financial details (e.g processing club membership fees, gala fees, ASA fees, shop payment, miscellaneous payments, club expenditure and such other transactions as may be necessary from time to time)
• Where relevant, medical history of swimmers, coaches, teachers and volunteers and any relevant current medical treatment being received.
• Photographs of any LSASC members
What is done with the information gathered
The information will be held upon the LSASC database and used by LSASC Coaches, Committee Members and where relevant to third parties to undertake the following activities in the legitimate interest of LSASC and it’s swimmers:-
• Running the Club on a day by day basis in respect of both teaching lessons, training sessions and land training
• Entering and administration of relevant swimming leagues, including but not exclusively Junior League, Mercian League & Arena League
• Administration of County, Regional and National Swimming Teams, including but not exclusively Warwickshire ASA, British Swimming, Swim England, Swim Wales and Swim Ireland
• Entering and managing Open Meets & all Licenced Meets which LSASC deem appropriate
• Ensuring ASA registration for all swimmers and parents as required from time to time
• The organisation and administration of swim camps or other such activities /events arranged from time to time by LSASC
•The marketing of LSASC
• The administration and updating of the LSASC website
• To undertake compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• To maintain records of swimmer’s rankings and club records
• To safeguard the physical and emotional wellbeing of all swimmers, coaches, teachers and volunteers.
Using your personal data: the legal basis and purposes
As the majority of the swimmers are children, where the swimmers are under the age of 16 years the Club will require the specific consent of parents to process the information required above to fulfil the legitimate interests of the swimmer and LSASC. Consent will be required to be provided by no later than 8th June 2018.
Where consent is not given in the timescale given, the swimmer will be unable to continue with their LSASC membership.
You’re free at any time to change your mind and withdraw your consent. The consequence is that the swimmer cannot continue with their LSASC membership due to the Club being unable to comply with Swim England insurance requirements.
Your data, your rights
You have the right to object to how the Club process your personal information and you have the right to be forgotten. You also have the right to access, correct, sometimes delete and restrict the personal information used. In addition, you have a right to complain to the Club and to the data protection regulator.

If the Club updates the Privacy Notice, in certain circumstances, the Club may seek your consent.
